 Today me and my group decided to do our first part of the editing. This time I was helping compared to the other projects such as the commercial. The reason being was because Monzur is the one who usually edits the film and I have 2 classes with him. since I have to 2 classes with him it give a lot more opportunities to help him with the editing. Even though me and Monzur were just starting on the editing we had already ran into a big road block. This road block was that I had to pay a membership for any of the good editing software's. The thing is that I did not want to spend any money that I did not need to. I told Monzur this and he said that he already has a membership since he edits every now and then which was great since the first problem was solved quickly. The first thing I had to do to start the editing process was downloading all the good clips I got from the last filming session onto the computer.  Today is March 28th which also marks the first day of filming the title sequence. This would be the last day of my spring break and the day I return back to Fort Lauderdale. I was expected to come home at night but I ended coming back earlier so I could film with my group. I told all of my group members this so they would be ready. I arrived at around 6:00 PM which was perfect for the setting then I drove to Monzur's house where the filming would take place. When I got there it was around 6:20 since I live quite close which left me 2 hours and 10 minutes to film since my mom was picking me up at 9:00. Everyone arrived around 6:30 and I got to filming right away. My group started filming the first scene which was filmed inside Monzur's room which was simply waking up to a alarm clock. Today March 17th me and my group were supposed to meet up to film. The date for the filming was set a while back almost a whole week before. Although I was prepared to film some problems came up. One of our members had a last minute family trip. This trip was the cause of some problems since there was nothing he could do about it. The reason being was because it is spring break and if his family goes any later the plane tickets are going to be expensive. Also so they can maximize the amount of time they spend wherever they are going. Since the group member which was Monzur was not going to be gone all spring break I decided to film when he came back. Although this was a good Idea another problem arose which was that Keith had to go to Georgia to see his sister. Keith was going to stay in Georgia for most of Spring break.  Today me and my group decided to review the storyboard with all the new info I gained from last week. Me and my group decided to do some major changes if our title sequence is going to be any good. One of the biggest changes that was made was to not include a brother in the film. The reason for this was because having a brother would not really make any sense. Adding an extra character at the end would just end up being confusing. Introducing a character at the end would also add to much mystery to the story which is not good for a opening sequence. The reason for this is because it would leave the audience wondering too much which is not good. Another reason I did this was because I wanted to leave the viewer with the though of who was at the door. This ominous feeling is to be carried throughout the film but it is like the brother showing up. The reason for this is because the knock will not be answered right away but will be answered later in the film. This would lead to fewer ques

 Today Me and my group decided to film some part of our movie opening sequence. I picked the time for the filming after school since no one had anything to do. The school bell rung and I was dismissed I went to meet my group at the back of the school. When I got there the worst thing happened it started to rain. I knew that our filming day got cancelled since I could not film in the rain. I talked it over with my group and decided to go to someone's house to do more research. Me and my group decided to go to Mozur's house to do the research since it was the closest. When me and the group arrived we decided to go over our storyboard. Everyone explained their part of the storyboard in depth so the others could understand. This took quite a bit but it helped me understand each scene better than before.  Before I got to filming with my group we decided to find what sound to use. I along with my group decided to reach out to people to get permission to use their sound track. The way I decided to do this was by doing research with movies of my genre. The genre for my movie is thriller and I need sound tracks match the genre of the movie. The first movie opening scene I watched was Slender Man. While it was a great sound track for a thriller I do not think it matched what I was aiming for. After going through more and more opening scenes searching for a good soundtrack but, coming short I decided to take a diffrerent approach. I went into Spotify looked there for a good thriller soundtrack and after a bit I stumbled across a great soundtrack. The sound track that I found was Dominic Frontiere's Color of Night soundtrack.
