The Filming Starts

Today is March 28th which also marks the first day of filming the title sequence. This would be the last day of my spring break and the day I return back to Fort Lauderdale. I was expected to come home at night but I ended coming back earlier so I could film with my group. I told all of my group members this so they would be ready. I arrived at around 6:00 PM which was perfect for the setting then I drove to Monzur's house where the filming would take place. When I got there it was around 6:20 since I live quite close which left me 2 hours and 10 minutes to film since my mom was picking me up at 9:00. Everyone arrived around 6:30 and I got to filming right away. My group started filming the first scene which was filmed inside Monzur's room which was simply waking up to a alarm clock. Although the scene seemed simple enough it actually proved quite difficult since I did no want it to seem staged but instead normal. This one scene took multiple shots to complete but after the 5th or so turned out exactly how I wanted it to turn out. The second scene was a bit easier to film since it was just Monzur walking out of the room looking at a clock and yelling for his mother. After hearing no response he walks into his parent's room to see if anyone is there then into his sibling's room. After finding no one he just asks himself the simple question of where everyone is. The 3rd scene proved quite hard to film compared to the last two scenes. The reason being because Monzur had to go outside at the perfect time when there would be no traffic and act scared/surprised no one is outside.  This shot took about 10 times to get it right since in all the previous shots something went wrong. Sometimes Mozur would get all of the expressions right but there would be cars passing by and other times there would be no cars but Mozur would not do the right facial expressions. The Next scene was the easiest to film since it was just a close up of the Monzur's phone to show he had no service or wifi. After showing that he had no sort of connection he would look up to see cars parked with no one on sight. After a bit a deformed human would run at him surprising Monzur. When I my group finished this scene it was time to go since it was late. Although I did not film as much as I wanted to, I made great progress considering the amount of time I had to film.
