The Editing Process Commences

 Today me and my group decided to do our first part of the editing. This time I was helping compared to the other projects such as the commercial. The reason being was because Monzur is the one who usually edits the film and I have 2 classes with him. since I have to 2 classes with him it give a lot more opportunities to help him with the editing. Even though me and Monzur were just starting on the editing we had already ran into a big road block. This road block was that I had to pay a membership for any of the good editing software's. The thing is that I did not want to spend any money that I did not need to. I told Monzur this and he said that he already has a membership since he edits every now and then which was great since the first problem was solved quickly. The first thing I had to do to start the editing process was downloading all the good clips I got from the last filming session onto the computer. This took a while since there many clips from the scenes that were filmed. After downloading all of the clips I searched through the clips to find the one that were going to be used. After finding the right ones I had to put them in order and made sure that the the clips flow smoothly. After Making sure the clips had a good flow I started to browse through the soundtrack that me and my group were going to use. After searching for a bit I found some that I liked and so did Monzur so we compared to see which one was the best fit. When I was done comparing the sound tracks with Monzur me and him came to the conclusion that the one I chose was the better one. After adding in the sound track the final was looking quite good. Even though it was all coming together I still needed to add things for it to look like a real opening sequence. It was missing the opening credits and I wanted to add them just to see how it looks like. After adding the opening credits it really did look like a real opening sequence and I was happy with the results. Even though this was just a tiny part of the editing process since I am missing the other scenes it turned out great and I am looking forward to finish the editing.

Title Research: Code 8

  1.How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? In the Opening sequence there are a lot of titles. The ones that are included are the names of the actors playing big roles in the film also the names of the crew such as executive producer and costume designer. 2.What connotations do the images carry? (how do you they make you feel)? The images shown in the title sequence make me feel like something big is going on since its showing a news report of many different thins on a television in the background. 3.How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? By showing the multiple broadcasts in the back ground it makes the person wonder what's happening building up suspense.   Planning: Props: Since our group decided to use the Airpods Pro the props that we will be using will be an iPhone and the Airpods Pro themselves. Costumes: In our commercial, we have one main character, and 2 side subjects. Our actors will wear normal/trendy clothes, they would wear items that they would wear everyday to simulate like it was just a normal day for them. The main actor will have an iPhone in hand, and an AirPod in each ear so to show them off to the viewer.  Schedule:   On 9/22/21 our group researched conventions and the background of AirPods Pro commercials. We also decided on our location list, props, costumes, backup plan, and made sure we were sticking to our schedule.
