Filming Problem
Today Me and my group decided to film some part of our movie opening sequence. I picked the time for the filming after school since no one had anything to do. The school bell rung and I was dismissed I went to meet my group at the back of the school. When I got there the worst thing happened it started to rain. I knew that our filming day got cancelled since I could not film in the rain. I talked it over with my group and decided to go to someone's house to do more research. Me and my group decided to go to Mozur's house to do the research since it was the closest. When me and the group arrived we decided to go over our storyboard. Everyone explained their part of the storyboard in depth so the others could understand. This took quite a bit but it helped me understand each scene better than before. After that was finished me and the group still had a lot of time left so I decided to do other things for research. What was decided was for me and the group to watch some Thriller movies so I could see what types of shots the movies use through out. The first movie that was watched was "Ma" the movie had many types of shots. The ones that stood out the most was the Establishing shot and a the close up shot. The next movie that was watched was "Get Out" which was a great movie. Shots that stood out again was the establishing shot, the close up shots and the long shots. After seeing these two movies me and my group talked about them and I realized that establishing shots are really important to films since it sets the whole setting. Another really important shot in thrillers are the close up shots since it builds suspense because it shows the person visually nervous. After this discussion was over and my group and I understood what shot needed to be in the opening sequence it was time to go. So even though the plan I had was canceled the day did not go to waste.
