Final Touches


Today was the final day to finish our editing process. I did not make much progress last time with my group. I git lucky that today was Friday so it was easier to meet up with everyone and discuss things about the editing process. The first step to finishing the editing process was to come up with ideas. I was the first person to come up with an idea which was to put the title of the song in one of the shots. My group liked the idea and went along with it. The first step was to find what shot to put the title in. After going through the film me and my group found the perfect shot to put the name of the song in. The shot was all four of the members walking down the road then the camera looking to the sky which was why the title of the song would fit perfectly. After thinking a while longer I came up with another idea which was to add glow and neon scribbles into the video. This was the first time my group had heard about these thing so we decided to look it up. After looking them up they ended liking them and decided to try to put them in. After researching for a while they still could not figure how to put them in so we ended up moving from the idea. After an hour we were almost done editing thanks to some great ideas from my group members. Now we just needed a way to end the video.  After remembering the research I did on Music videos the perfect idea hit me. The idea was to put a fade to black transition to finish the video. The group loved the idea and made the edit. At last we were done with the editing of the music video. The end result of the music video was great and I really enjoyed how it looked.

  Planning: Props: Since our group decided to use the Airpods Pro the props that we will be using will be an iPhone and the Airpods Pro themselves. Costumes: In our commercial, we have one main character, and 2 side subjects. Our actors will wear normal/trendy clothes, they would wear items that they would wear everyday to simulate like it was just a normal day for them. The main actor will have an iPhone in hand, and an AirPod in each ear so to show them off to the viewer.  Schedule:   On 9/22/21 our group researched conventions and the background of AirPods Pro commercials. Sound Track Choices

 Before I got to filming with my group we decided to find what sound to use. I along with my group decided to reach out to people to get permission to use their sound track. The way I decided to do this was by doing research with movies of my genre. The genre for my movie is thriller and I need sound tracks match the genre of the movie. The first movie opening scene I watched was Slender Man. While it was a great sound track for a thriller I do not think it matched what I was aiming for. After going through more and more opening scenes searching for a good soundtrack but, coming short I decided to take a diffrerent approach. I went into Spotify looked there for a good thriller soundtrack and after a bit I stumbled across a great soundtrack. The sound track that I found was Dominic Frontiere's Color of Night soundtrack. Group Blog

 For my final task I decided to get in a group of 3 me and 2 others. This is a change from my past 2 project where I had 3 others making it 4 in total. At first I was going to work in a 4 person group. The same group as last time which involved Keith, Monzur, and Fahim. Fahim ended up switching schools after the music video project. Instead of trying to get a 4th person we decided to stay with 3. The reason being it was much easier to coordinate and it was too much of a hassle to find a 4th member. The reason I chose Monzur is because I have already worked with him in the past. I see him everyday at school so its easy to plan out things. I have known Monzur for a long while now and were pretty close although it has not always been like this. The first time I talked to Monzur was in middle school and we hit it off.
