 Research:

My Group is doing "Shoota" as our song. Typically in these type of music video there is one main person singing usually the artist with some back up singers and dancers. They use many type of different scenery.

  • There is always or most of the time dancers in music videos
  • They do not have to dress a certain way unless its for the theme of the video  

 There are many different type of cuts that music videos use but the most common ones are 

  • Jump cuts along with upbeat music are used to create an exciting mood and get the audience pumped up.
  •  Fade to black which is used at the end to symbolize the end of the video
The Most Common shot in Music Videos are 
  • Medium Shot to draw attention to both the character and their surroundings by giving them equal space in the frame
Conventions and Codes
  • Most music videos when they end show who it was edited by and or the song name then use a fade to black to end the video
  • Most Videos usually have people around the main person. so the main person is always crowded
Use of Rhetorical Devices
  • Most music Videos use logos since they use logic in their videos to portae real life scenarios that could happen in the real world
  • Music Videos also use pathos since some talk about tragic things that have happened or can happen
  • Music Videos use ethos since they tend to portray the singer or rappers ideology

  Planning: Props: Since our group decided to use the Airpods Pro the props that we will be using will be an iPhone and the Airpods Pro themselves. Costumes: In our commercial, we have one main character, and 2 side subjects. Our actors will wear normal/trendy clothes, they would wear items that they would wear everyday to simulate like it was just a normal day for them. The main actor will have an iPhone in hand, and an AirPod in each ear so to show them off to the viewer.  Schedule:   On 9/22/21 our group researched conventions and the background of AirPods Pro commercials. We also decided on our location list, props, costumes, backup plan, and made sure we were sticking to our schedule. Sound Track Choices

 Before I got to filming with my group we decided to find what sound to use. I along with my group decided to reach out to people to get permission to use their sound track. The way I decided to do this was by doing research with movies of my genre. The genre for my movie is thriller and I need sound tracks match the genre of the movie. The first movie opening scene I watched was Slender Man. While it was a great sound track for a thriller I do not think it matched what I was aiming for. After going through more and more opening scenes searching for a good soundtrack but, coming short I decided to take a diffrerent approach. I went into Spotify looked there for a good thriller soundtrack and after a bit I stumbled across a great soundtrack. The sound track that I found was Dominic Frontiere's Color of Night soundtrack.  For my final task I decided to get in a group of 3 me and 2 others. This is a change from my past 2 project where I had 3 others making it 4 in total. At first I was going to work in a 4 person group. The same group as last time which involved Keith, Monzur, and Fahim. Fahim ended up switching schools after the music video project. Instead of trying to get a 4th person we decided to stay with 3. The reason being it was much easier to coordinate and it was too much of a hassle to find a 4th member. The reason I chose Monzur is because I have already worked with him in the past. I see him everyday at school so its easy to plan out things. I have known Monzur for a long while now and were pretty close although it has not always been like this. The first time I talked to Monzur was in middle school and we hit it off.
